Creole Shrimp

  1. 100 grams shrimp
  2. ½ cup low sodium vegetable broth or water
  3. 1 clove garlic crushed and minced
  4. 1 tablespoon minced onion
  5. ¼ teaspoon horseradish
  6. 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  7. 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  8. 1-2 teaspoons hot sauce
  9. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  10. Pinch of thyme
  11. 1 bay leaf
  12. Dash of sassafras powder or root beer flavored stevia
  13. Dash of liquid smoke flavoring (optional)
  14. Cayenne pepper to taste
  15. MCT OR COCONUT oil (for frying)
  1. Mix liquid ingredients, onion, garlic, and spices.
  2. Simmer over low heat for 10 minutes in a small frying pan.
  3. Add shrimp and cook thoroughly for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Deglaze the pan periodically with additional water or broth.
  6. Serve hot or cold over a salad or with fresh asparagus.
